Sir Duncan Campbell was born 1597 in Knockmeille, Argyllshire, Scotland and died 1645 in Inverlochy, Inverness, Scotland.

He married Jean Colquhoun. She was born 1607 in Luss, Dumbartonshire, Scotland. She was the daughter of Alaisdair Colquhoun and Margaret Helen Buchanan.

Their children were:

Sir Archibald Campbell (born in Auchinbreck, Argyllshire, Scotland)
